Dealing with your Inner-Critic

Due to the brain’s built in negativity bias many of us are prone to self-critical thoughts and it can be very challenging knowing how to work skillfully with them. One method that many people find very useful when you notice it is to firstly take a few long slow fuller breaths and to acknowledge the self-critical thought perhaps by saying quietly to yourself “ judging”. Then say : “ May I be free from being so hard on myself. May all people be free from being so hard on themselves. May we all live with ease”.
